Sylwia Najah

Sylwia Najah is a first- and second-grade alumni of the State School of Music in Opole (guitar classes) and of the Acting School in the Jewish Theater in Warsaw. She also received a certificate of drama acting from the ZASP Examining Commission. She cooperates with Królewski Theater in Wilanów and Ochoty Theater (‘Teatr Warszawa’ project). She also played in Powszechny Theater in Radom (as Inanis in “Komórkowe love”), Wytwórnia Theater in Warsaw and on the Educational Stage in the Jewish Theater (Hesia in “The Morality of Mrs. Dulska”). Her acting oeuvre comprises musical performances in “Job’s Children,”  dir. by Jacek Bończyk (the 6th edition of the Nadzieja Jacek Kaczmarski Festival, 2009), which was the basis for her music album of Yiddish songs (premier at the Singer’s Warsaw Festival in 2010). She also appeared in the Polish Radio Theaterand in movies (“We’re All Christs,” “Love and Dance”). On the stage of the Jewish Theater, she created the roles of Hudl in “Fiddler on the roof”, Anka in Lament, Cypa in “A Goldfaden dream” and Rajsa in “A Dreadful inn”. She was also an assistant director (Powszechny Theater in Radom and Królewski Theater in Wilanów) and a consultant and choreography designer (Powszechny Theater in Radom).
